The
Lone Star Amateur Baseball Association was founded in 1995 by David Griffin, Jim
Bradberry and Sam Carpenter to provide an opportunity for baseball players 18-years
old and under to play the best baseball possible. The initial year of play the
league had 26 teams, 12 in the 16-Under Mickey Mantle Division and 14 in the 18-Under
Connie Mack Division. Since that time a 14-Under Division has been added and in
1999 there were 38 teams in the Association.
