Background

Amber is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in the state of Texas. She's been in the ABA field for nearly twenty years. When she started out, a lot of the work still happened in living rooms and at kitchen tables, right alongside families. Those early years taught her that lasting change is built on trust and on making sure every family feels genuinely equipped to keep the work going long after a session ends. She still works that way today, staying hands-on, practical, and close to the families she serves.

Her experience runs from the clinic floor to the leadership table. Amber began as a behavior therapist in California while earning her master's degree and completing her BCBA coursework. After earning her BCBA, she stepped from supervising cases into operations, leading an intake team as its manager. A move to Texas brought her into a national mental health organization, where she built out its ABA program as a consultant and went on to serve as its Director of Specialty Operations. She left to start Lone Star ABA, the practice she had always known and believed should exist.

A Quick Why

Amber started Lone Star ABA to close the access gap and put caregivers back at the center of their child's care. Across Texas, too many families wait months on a list, drive hours each way, or hear that there are simply no home-based services near them. She wanted to change that by bringing care back to the home, on each family's own schedule and built around their real life. She also believes good behavioral support can help almost any family. That is why she is creating ways to get that help directly to families across Texas no matter what barriers have stood in their way.
